New to public transit? Not understanding how it works can be overwhelming as a first-time rider. Find out important information about how Richland County Transit works.
Richland County Transit (RCT) operates nine fixed routes, which provide a transportation network that can take you to work, school, appointments, or shopping. RCT provides many services to the community, such as:
- Regularly scheduled fixed route bus service to the cities of Mansfield and Ontario and to Madison Township.
- Wheelchair-accessible buses
- Priority seating for the elderly and persons with disabilities
- RCT Dial-A-Ride service for persons with disabilities who are not able to board the regular fixed routes
- RCT Plus Senior Shopping Service – “Grocery Shuttle”
- Radio equipped buses
RCT operates weekdays, except national holidays. (If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on Friday. If it falls on Sunday, it will be observed on Monday.)

If you think you left something on the bus, please call 419-522-4504 right away.
We will do our very best to find your lost item quickly. To help us find your lost item, please know the bus route you were on. If we find your list item, You can collect is after 9am the next business day at 232 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Unfortunately, we do not always find lost items. Additionally, because we have limited storage space, we cannot keep lost items longer than seven days.
To make the claim process quick and easy, please be prepared to:
- Provide an accurate description of the item(s)
- Sign the property claim tag with your name and address
