In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title II, Section 223, Richland County Transit Dial-A-Ride provides transportation services for individuals who, because of their disability, are unable to travel on the fixed route system operated by Richland County Transit. This service is designed to provide those with disabilities with equal access to public transportation. You may be eligible for the service if, because of a disability:
You cannot independently travel to/from fixed route stops.
You could use an accessible fixed route vehicle, but the route that would be used is not accessible.
You cannot independently navigate the system even though you can board the bus.
ALL RIDERS MUST COMPLETE THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS. In order to be considered for this service, please request an application at 419 522-4504. This application must be filled out by the individual and by a physician or specialist as defined in the application.
You will be given a ninety-day grace period to use our service while your application is reviewed. Richland County Transit will review your application within twenty-one days after receiving it. In the event that your application is denied, an appeals process exists if you choose to appeal against the decision.
Dial-A-Ride trips are $4.00 from your front door to your destination and $4.00 for your return trip. You are allowed one person to go with you as an aide to assist you at no additional cost. Please make sure you tell the office if someone else is going with you.
